Green VINE VOICE on February 18, 2012 Verified Purchase My Panasonic shaver, for which this shaving screen was ordered, was a free item through the Vine program, a very expensive shaver that has proved to be one of my all-time favorites. But, when the time comes that parts (in particular, the shaving screen and blades) must be ordered, one begins to pay the Piper. Although the shaver was free, depending on how often I find myself ordering replacement parts, it will behoove me to just order a new shaver. The screen didn't last quite as long as I would have hoped. The blades, when I have to order replacements...well, I'm hopeful that won't be necessary for some months yet. I don't fault the shaver or replacement parts; but the cost of the replacement parts will eventually total more than the shaver would be worth. Get a new shaver before that time! Cheaper to buy separately than the combo pack!

The Product Description and Amazon Answers for WES9032P states it fits the ES-LV61, so now it cheaper to get the combo pack! ;-) ] In October, I purchased the replacement outer foil (Part no: WES9171P) and inner blades (Part no: WES9170P) and paid $38 shipped and $21 shipped respectively (I'm a Prime member). I can verify those are indeed the correct part numbers. Note: There is also part no: WES9030P which is the outer foil and inner blades in a COMBO package. Well, as of October 2012, the cheapest I could find WES9030P for on Amazon was $70 shipped. Now, I paid $38+$21 shipped, which is $59 total! And yes, in this case, it is cheaper to buy both separately than getting the combo. Also, note that this puts my replacement interval at ~1 year, definitely NOT the 2 year life that Panasonic puts in the owner's manual for the 5-blade LA63. Judging myself as having a lighter stubble/beard growth pattern than most, you will likely want to replace your blades every 8-12 months for optimal shaving results. 2 Comments One person found this helpful. Don't Forget Inner Blades

It is critical to replace both the inner blades and outer foil at the same time. All these parts wear out at the same rate - only replacing the inner blades restores only two fifths of the razor. The outer foil has three more cutting blades you can't see in the pictures in a very complex arrangement. I had no idea the razor had two cutting blades on the extreme edges and the center is a course or longer hair cutter. All total there are 5 cutting blades in this head. The replacement is super simple. Pull up on the inner blade to pop off the cutting head. Pop on the new inner blades (there is no front or back to them). For the outer foil, press on the two black tabs inside the cutting head. The outer foil will pop out easily. There is a front and back to the outer foil. If aligned correctly, the head will pop in easily. That's it, nothing more to getting a brand new razor. There are two ways to buy the replacements - as the kit or as two individual parts. The choice should simply be which totals up to the least expensive option. At this writing, the kit is a bit less expensive than the parts. Makes Your Shaver NEW again (Well...Sort Of..)

By JoJo on May 31, 2013 Verified Purchase I already love my Panasonic ES-LV81-K Shaver and this just made is better! I was amazed at how smooth my shaving feels again with a new set of blades. My original set that came with the Shaver lasted only a few months and that could be due to my having very thick hair and that it is my first shaver ever and I might have been applying a little too much pressure (Thinking of course that it would give me a closer shave, foolish me), so the outer film tore leaving me with a dangerous shaver that could potentially cut your skin. Due follow instructions people! That goes for me too of course. Instructions say to always check your outer film for damage and to not use if damaged (which I did). They also say to NOT apply too much pressure (which I also did) but O well, what's done is done and lesson learned for me. Now I have a new set and am now more aware of the amount of pressure I put on it and take care of it more by washing it daily in the Vortex Cleaning System included with my shaver, which by the way also lubricates and disinfects it.
