Great starter set

I really like the gun metal color of the 22R razor. Much more interesting than shiny chrome, although it doesn't match the rest of the kit and some may be turned off by this. So far the brush has been great! Slight animal odor on the first use, but that went away. The stand works fine. I had to bend one of the forks on the razor side to even it out. Mostly my OCD, but it made me wacky looking at the razor resting at a slight angle. Comment Was this review helpful to you?

The badger brush is high quality... the handle is heavy chrome and feels solid in the hand. It has a perfect feel on the face... not too stiff and not too soft. Bristles seem to be locked in tight... I only had maybe one bristle come out on my first use. Can't really complain about that. The razor is also very nice and has a solid feel to it... it is heavy enough to feel well made but not over built. The finish on mine was the gray gunmetal finish so it doesn't match the brush and stand. I wish it was all the same finish (either chrome or gunmetal as they are both very nice). A few blades in my combo pack were slightly off center. They stuck out of the razor a little more on one side than on the other. This may be just a difference in blades. Just keep an eye on this as the side that sticks out farther will give a more aggressive shave. The stand is chrome, as I said, and is heavy enough to get the job done. Bottom line is that this is a good set... just buy a pack of "Feather" blades and good shave cream to go with it and you will be in shaving heaven. Comment Was this review helpful to you?
