AN EXCELLENT SHAVER!

By jeka0689 on December 9, 2013 I was very excited to received a Braun cooltec shaver for free through a promotion by Braun.I have always tried many types of shaver and razors. I've tried other types of shavers in the past and they have always irritated my face. I will say I was pretty surprised with the braun shaver. I don't know if its the CoolTec technology that made this experience better or the quality of the foil type razors. I was able to get a nice clean shave without any irritation. The CoolTech technology was refreshing, the razor was actually cold against my face a thing that i found fascinating. Plus the Braun over my old shave is that the Braun actually catches all the little hairs it cuts off. With my old shaver, I was always having to clean the sink after shaving. The Braun captured everything in the foil and the cleaning station takes care of cleaning the razor out. I only found one cons the cleaning station is too loud while doing its work. Braun customer for life!

By Patrick Johnson on December 12, 2013 I already had an older model of Braun shaver, but obtained a CoolTec shaving system via a program run by Braun. While the older unit still worked perfectly, I immediately switched over and have ditched the old unit for this one. My skin is very sensitive, especially on my neck and I break out easily. The aluminum cooling bar helps keep the irritation down and allows me to run over the hard to reach areas several times without the burning sensation that typically follows. It also has a smaller charging/cleaning station than my old unit so it looks much better in my bathroom. I couldn't be happier with the unit and between the old experience and now this improved experience... I'm a Braun customer for life. Don't be afraid to spend the money, they last forever! My old shaver has been in FREQUENT use for over 4 years and it still works great. I now use it as my travel razor and use the CoolTec as the "everyday" shaver. Comment 10 people found this helpful. This shaver delivers on all three. It is quiet for a shaver. I can actually hear stuff around me while using it. It's close and quick. I really am impressed by the speed at which I get a good, close shave. Just phenomenal. The manual strongly suggests cleaning out the head with hot, running water after each use and I agree this is more than a good idea. By pre-cleaning it this way, it's pretty clean when it goes into the cleaning/charging unit, so the fluid stays clean and useful longer. The cartridges are not all that spend but hey, it's another ongoing expense. Used sensibly, it's totally worth it. My old shaver took half an hour for the cleaning process to work (after I pre-cleaned it). This takes two minutes. It cleans and lubes the shaver quickly and switches to charge mode. Simple, fast, done. The coolest part (literally) is the cool strip. I thought this was just so much hooey but it really makes a difference. It feels good and on a hot day, it feels wonderful on my skin. The cooling causes skin to tighten slightly and hairs stand up for a better, faster shave. Did I mention it really feels good?
