I received a free Philips Norelco Electric Shaver 3500 to try out and test, I was skeptical ....then blown away. Wow, what an amazing razor. I have only used an electric shaver one other time in my life.... I was not happy with, and have never tried another electric shaver, until now. I had a 2 month full beard going on, and the extendable trimmer went through it like butter. No catching, no pulling and super precise. I really like the fact that the trimmer extends so far from the shaver, allowing to see where you are trimming with no guess work. Once I had trimmed, it was time for a complete shave. I tried first, dry shaving. It felt as expected, then I tried with shaving cream, and a wet shaver....AMAZING!!!! The shaver was gliding over my face, every contour & curve with complete ease. I have never had a closer shave than this. The fact that I can use wet, dry or with shaving cream is a huge huge seller for me. I will not be going back to traditional razors.

This Norelco model 3500 is a nice shaver for the price. It gives a nice clean shave every time as long as I always use a pre-shave lotion first. I've been using Norelco razors for probably thirty years now and have always had good results with them. Some of the shavers I had were their more expensive models that had more features, but I find that the lower priced models like this 3500 do all I need without any extra bells and whistles. Life span for their corded/cordless models has been about the same with an average of three to four years. After that the battery and motor become tired and internal damage due to water leaks from routine rinsing/cleaning under a faucet takes its toll on the sealed power switch and electronic circuit board. Replacement cutters and combs are readily available and although they are a little expensive, changing them once a year will definitely keep the razors shaving performance at its peak. So far I've been very pleased with this new 3500 and the price here on Amazon was also the best I had found anywhere.

Great reasonable priced razor

This razor is light and easy to hold. It is not noisy like some electric shavers. I have used Norelco Electric razors for 30+ years and this one is a winner. It cuts well and is very easy to clean. You can just wash out the shaver head and blades. I like the fact that the head comes apart so easily for cleaning if you want to do more then just wash it out with hot water. It charges quickly and have had no problems. I have used it both dry and wet. For me, I like the dry shave. It glides over my face and chin and throat area very nice. I have the very expensive razor and to replace the shaver head, it cost more then this razor. This razor does a much better job than the fancy 1280X which I am replacing. I would definitely recommend this razor for either wet or dry shaving. It works and works well. It works much better than some of the more expensive razors.

Thank you Philips Norelco 3500 this is a good shaver. It is light in my hand and holds a charge for a really long time. When you do have to charge it the battery is up to full power quickly. I have somewhat sensitive skin and I like the fact that this shaver can be used with shave gel. The fell of the shaver in the hand is light and airy as it glides over my skin. The heads glide through the coarse beard hairs like butter. I have used it dry and do not mind the little irritation that it causes as I am not use to shaving dry. Being able to shave dry is important because we are all on the run at sometime. But I like the shaver most because I can use it wet and it does the job beautifully for my sensitive skin. The heads hug the contours of my face as I shave creating a effortlessly close shave the first time around. The blades have been preforming like new the last month or so. The blades should last the year like suggest they should. The money saving this shaver could create is worth the purchase price. I tried the trimmer that is part of the shaver and it did it job. I use a different product for the trimming and stick to the shaving with this shaver. The trimmer can come in handy when traveling or away from the bathroom. Some argue that the electric shaver does not create the closest shave in the world but I beg to differ this creates a close shave and if your skin is use to the shaver it is wonderful. Pros: No more buying blades monthly. Close clean shave Light and fells good in hand Economical Long battery life Wet and/or dry shave Cons: Just like any shaver it can take more than one pass to shave. Little less flex than expected with heads, but it was good enough to do the job. Thank you Philips Norelco for providing me with this product for free.
