Not as close as a blade, but close enough

By Dee Prime on June 6, 2016 I researched many shavers as my previous shaver.. a 3 head rotary shaver.. was about to die. I wanted to try something a bit different. The Sharper Image foil shaver is everything it was advertised to be... giving me a clean shave, not as close as a blade, but still good enough and surprisingly close for an electric. It is quite easy to clean, much easier than rotary shavers. I also enjoy the floating head of the foil blades that follows comfortably the contours of my face. The only drawback is that the pop up trimmer is not as effective as it should be and almost seems like an afterthought. But I have a standalone trimmer so that wasn't a critical feature fot my needs. There are cheaper shavers, but sometimes you get what you pay for.... Not world's fastest, world's closest

By Tom K. on July 2, 2016 This Razor is absolutely incredible. It arrived much quicker than anticipated and has exceeded expectations. I have personally never used an electric foil razor before this one, I have just used a standard beard trimmer, but I am very glad to have made the switch. As a college student with acne I don’t have the time or patience to shave with a standard razor and shaving cream so I have always resorted to an electric razor. The sharper image foil shaver and trimmer is outstanding. It is by no means the world’s fastest razor, in fact, it is very comparable in time to my previous razor for under 20 bucks, but it’s how close of a shave that it provides that really won me over. A shave with this razor is virtually just as close to the skin as you can get with shaving cream, but without the mess! This product was perfect for me and in the long run will save me money from not having to buy shaving cream. I would definitely recommend it. Interestingly enough, to clean off this razor you are supposed to use water directly on the head of the razor. I have used it twice and am yet to rise it off as I am worried I will do it wrong. The shaver comes with a nice velvety cloth bag to store it in, a charger and charging stand, a brush to brush the hairs off of it after use, and an extra foil razor cover. The shaver can be rinsed clean under water. When the battery is fully charged you can get 60 minutes of shaving time or you can use it while plugged in. The motor reaches 15,000 RPM, which is 3x faster than other electric shavers. There's a lock switch so if you take it on trips you don't have to worry about it turning on by itself and wearing out the battery. When you're charging this razor, there is a light to indicate when it is fully charged. My husband is a manager for a company that makes ready to eat food for a bunch of other companies. Since he's around food he has to wear a beard net if his stubble gets just a bit too long. He can't use a regular razor all the time or it tears up his face. But he really really doesn't[ want to have to wear a beard net. He has tried electric razors in the past and they usually leave a fair amount of stubble. But he figured, if this one does the same, it would still keep him from having to wear a beard neet if he shaved every day. This cordless electric razor provides such a close shave that he doesn't need to use it every day. Very very pleased with how well it works and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good quality electric shaver that truly gives a close shave!
