When I first opened the very elegant box I was surprised to see this fire painted smallish electric razor! I suppose they are appealing to a younger crowd in it's appearance but I've got a thick stubble and if it works, I don't care what it looks like. The directions say to charge it for 24 hours and to ignore the indicator lights. I had to because they didn't light up at all. You place the razor so that the two metal bars in back of it touch the metal plates in the holder. the holder can be stood up or laid down. The next day I took this bad boy to the bathroom and OMG without a thing on my face (but thick stubble) I started to shave my right side. It was like glass and didn't irritate my neck at all! So I did what the directions suggested and took it to the shower with the full facial works. Silicone gel, pre oil, everything I use and turned it on. Not only was it working, If felt amazing on my cheek, like a facial massage with smooth skin left behind. Cleaning was interesting in that you can just rinse it out and once every week take snap off the head and clean the hair inside. The Pros: Compact Quiet Waterproof Keeps charged 60 minutes of run time Easy to clean Nice Side Burn / Mustache Flip up Trimmer Zippered Travel bag Cons: You can only charge it in the charger Mine didn't look like the picture as you can see in my photo. So you see, only two inconsequential complaints

I like this razor for the stars and stripes. Other than that I still get razor burn and don't see much difference in a closer shave than any cheaper model. I gave it the 4 stars strictly because I love my red, white and blue!

An innovative shaver that gives a close shave ...

My husband is not brand loyal, save his cookies, but Norelco is the only razor I’ve ever seen in the house. He’s been wanting another razor and was very pleased to see the Remington arrive. He flat out stated that he didn’t think it gave as good of shave as the Norelco, but thinks in part, it’s because he’s been using the Norelco for so many years. The bias is there, but the first time he used the shaver he claimed it gave a great shave. The Remington is doing the job and says he’s going to stick with the Norelco and purchase replacement heads. The Hyperflex technology allows the user to get into those tough spots . He had no problem and received a close shave. The Remington successfully maneuvered all the contours of his face, leaving him without any irritation. He’s the type of man who won’t shave for a couple of days because retirement suits him. Rough stubble is what the Remington was up against and did a great job. Remington’s Precision Plus Heads attacked that overgrown stubble and I heard no complains about pulling. The sideburns looked well-trimmed, neat, and it looks like the Comfort Trim detailer is on the money and works well. For a experience shaver, using this trimmer was easy, but for the new one the fact that it works well is important. He doesn’t use a wet shave so I can’t comment on that facet. Many of the other features are similar to that in other shavers, but I do very much like the stand. It can fold over to protect the On / Off button if you are on the go. It also has a “Travel Lock” feature to prevent discharge when traveling. Touches of silicone keep the Remington from sliding when being used as a stand. The blades are protected by a cover that slides on and won’t pop off. The Remington gives a great shave and has an innovative design.Read more ›
