Works (For Me) Just as Good as the More Expensive Gillette Fusion

It's full of marketing hype and other BS to simply increase sales. Manufacturers keep adding more and more product features (i.e., more blades, flexibility, medicated/Aloe strips, etc.) to convince consumers that such enhancements will dramatically improve shave closeness and comfort. In fact, all these things really tend to do is brainwash consumers into paying a much higher price to purchase so-called "premium" products. Gimme a break. Meanwhile, the one thing that manufacturers don't seem to improve upon with their "new and improved" manual razors is how long it takes until they become dull and must be disposed of in the trash... right along with your hard-earned money. For over 20 years, I had only used an electric razor which seemed to serve me well. However, due to my relatively heavy beard growth and the fact that I tend to develop a five o'clock shadow in no time flat, I finally decided, several years ago, to experiment with adding a manual razor to my morning shaving ritual. At the time when I decided to do this, I chose the Gillette Fusion Manual Razor which had just been launched by Gillette. Because of my sensitive skin, I figured that the Fusion's five blades would probably be the best at helping me to avoid skin irritation and, in fact, they did just that. Rather than experiment with other razor brands and models, I always stuck with the Fusion Manual model out of pure convenience. By Rachel on August 3, 2014 Size: Pack of 3 I love love love love these. As a female, I have found that men's razors work better. Four blades has become the perfect amount for me personally. Five seems to be too much, for lack of a better explanation. Four tends to be cheaper and get the same results. Three blades are just not enough. These razors move perfectly and leave my legs/other areas feeling wonderful. Plus I get a pretty close shave. I always keep these in stock. Comment 2 people found this helpful. Excellent disposable shavers - but no single-blade trimmer option

When it comes to shaving, all I ask for my razor is that is cut the whiskers without cutting my face or yanking them out by the roots. To that end, the BIC Flex4 succeeds admirably. These disposable razors are one-shot deals - the handle is disposable as well as the blades/heads. The four blades do the trick with speed and economy, and the pivoting head does not flop around willy-nilly. I've used these for two weeks without a nick and the shave is close enough that the five o'clock shadow doesn't show up until around 8 pm. My only quibble is that there is no single-blade trimmer that can be used for the sideburns. This is a minor criticism and would not prevent me from buying the product. Great disposable shaver if you don't mind the cost

These new BIC Flex4's do the job of a solid razor with the benefit of being disposable. I gave these to my 24 year old son to try out for me. He gave them a 5 star ratin. First, they lasted longer than a typical disposable (he told me one of the razors lasted him over 2 weeks of daily use). Secondly, the shave was really close with the 4 blade technology. He highly recommends these for anyone looking for an upgrade for a traditional disposable. They would be wonderful to take on vacation this year to use in place of your every day razor and you can throw it out before you leave the islands to come home (less to pack). BIC Flex4 Offers a Good, Comfortable Shave

This, the BIC Flex 4 Disposable Razor, is a good shaving device with four blades to remove hair with as few strokes as possible. This disposable razor offers flexible blades and they cut effectively. There is no need to stroke multiple times over the same area. Facial hair is cut to skin- level, and your skin feels smooth. There is no flexibility with the head of the razor. It pivots up and down, but that is it. The only flexibility you get is with the blades, but this is sufficient to help with the shaving process. The blades bend slightly to fit the contours of your face, leading to a better shave. One issue I have with this disposable razor is its lubricating strip. This strip contains aloe and vitamin E and it is supposed to help aid in the shaving process by making the experience more comfortable. However, you can barely tell the strip is even there. With other disposable razors that include a lubricating strip, you can easily feel the difference the strip makes because it will leave a slick feeling behind, like a thin coating of lotion. I don't get this feeling with the BIC Flex 4 Disposable Razor. The razor still cuts effectively, but I cannot understand why the lubricating strip doesn't make a more noticeable difference. This BIC disposable razor isn't cheap, but it is a very good disposable razor that offers a close shave with four flexible blades that adjust to the contours of your face for the best shave possible.
