I decided to spend some money and give this a try. This shaver has surprised me. It cuts well with little to no irritation. The cleaning base and charger are nice. Had the batteries in the old shaver replaced 1 or 2 times because they wouldn't re-charge. Ended up needing to have the old shaver plugged in while shaving after the new batteries failed. Wanted my new electric shaver to be run on battery mode or with electric cord when the batteries are run down. That was a big factor for my having selected this new Braun 390cc-4 electric shaver. Only issue is that I liked the popup trimmer on my old shaver better than the one on my new shaver. However, could not find any new shavers having a popup trimmer as good as the one on my old shaver.
