Shaving was never so easy!

I just got this the other day, free from Braun, and tried and so far so good! The shaver was a lot heavier than I thought it would be, which is fine with me, because that means it isn't cheap and won't fall apart right out of the box. I was impressed with the cover on the shaver, which would be great if I traveled, to protect the head of the shaver. I used to have an electric shaver in the past, and I loved it, problem was it broke, and didn't feel like buying another one. The shave was pretty close, not as close as a hand manual razor, but at least with this electric razor you cannot cut yourself, and then have to go to work with the embarrassing toilet paper stuck to the bloody spots on your face. I am very happy I got this razor, and though I have only rated it 4 stars, even after raving about it, I just cannot give it five because I know I will have to buy that solution to clean it, and I cannot tell how the razor burn is just yet. I have to use it for a awhile to see if I am really happy with the results on my sensitive skin on my neck. Over all, this razor feels sturdy, and I was blown away at the feel of it in your hand right out of the box. Also how it contours right to your face so easily as it feels as if it will get every nook and cranny and strand of hair. Also the brush in the box is also a nice addition, as cleaning it with the brush is very important to keeping your razor in tip top shaving shape!

Very well built shaver! I get a good close shave as long as I take my time and don't rush the process. I doesn't do well if I let my beard go more than a few days... It does seem to like longer whiskers! Other tans that, I am very pleased! PS. Electric shaver pre-shave lotion helps a lot!

I am a razor shaver so I was hesitant to sample and try an electric razor. I was very pleasantly surprised when I pulled the razor from the box how light it was and nice the trip was. One of its biggest set backs however ends up making it its greatest asset its this thing leaves a footprint on your counter, it has a very big base/holder but it is not without purpose. It is actually a base that cleans the razor after everyone and there for keeping the razor extremely clean, like new and preserves the integrity and cut of the blades. At full power this razor cuts right through your stubble, I believe they promote it as cutting through 3 days worth. It being the holidays or the end of them I slacked and knocked out about 5 days worth of stubble. I did however at times had to apply pressure,which I did't love and felt weird being a razor guy but it cut through the stubble and not a cut on my face. As the razor loses power thats when things get iffy and multiple pass throughs will be needed. This is an electric razor that I could see myself on a regular basis and most likely will start too. It is the complete package with a precision trimmer and a self cleaning stand. Also in the end what matters is the smoothness of the cut and this left my face smooth and with no ingrown hairs the next day. I truly enjoyed having the opportunity to test this razor out. I did recieve this product for FREE in exchange for my unbiased review. And unbiasedly I can say I would recommend it to any kind of shaver.

This shaver replaced an 8+ year old Braun 7-Series in which the batteries would no longer achieve a full charge, and which I tired of having to use the power cord plugged into an electrical outlet. Performance-wise, the new Series 3 is as efficient as the old Series 7. It is not being used in the "wet-mode." The only downside is the fact that it didn't come with a soft case (although it has a nice plastic cover for the foil/cutter cassette. A second downside is related to the Clean & Charge Station. With the old 7-Series, when the shaver was placed in the Clean & Charge Station, you had the option of cleaning and/or charging. With the 3-Series (3050cc), when it is placed in the C & C Station, it automatically cleans and charges. I prefer the option of being able to just clean the shaver, charging it when the battery is nearly depleted. Nevertheless, the shaver itself is a satisfying product. Considering its modest price (I paid $85), it's a real bargain.

This product came into my possession through a wonderful promotion from Braun, and I've used it a couple of times now. The instructions called for either manual cleaning or the automatic cleaning, and I figured manual would be better to review since the work is actually being done. Here's what I came across. The pieces come apart easily and snap back together easily so I didn't feel like I was breaking it as I took it apart. Note that the sides seem identical, but it didn't seem to matter which way it went back on (though, just as a disclaimer you should consult the instruction manual to see if you can find something I may have missed). Another plus is that you can run this under warm water as long as it's not plugged in, so you can clean it while it's on to make sure you get any of the hairs out. The picture shows what it looks like apart, and the foil piece needed to air dry but the moving portion didn't seem to get wet when I rinsed it off. I used the brush that came included to clean out the hair and it worked wonderfully (bristles are nice and stiff but not too hard). The only thing I didn't like was the fact that it called for mechanical oil application every week or so, but the oil was not included. Thankfully I had some but it would have been nice if they included it (though, the self cleaner has lubrication and so it kind of did come with a one use lube). It's nice that the razor can either be manually cleaned or auto cleaned, especially since the self cleaner is only one use.
