Surprisingly good

By Anonymous on February 6, 2011 Verified Purchase I bought this product after buying two different clippers - the Norelco bodygroom and a Wahl clipper kit. After my bad experience with both products (the Wahl was super noisy and would become uncomfortably hot in no time - the norelco was pure crap - it wouldn't be able to cut through butter ) - I didn't expect much from this. I'm glad it completely belied my expectation - it's a really nice clipper. It runs very silently and the blade is first-class - there's no pulling or pinching. It has good heft in the hands and is very easy to maneuver. Also, it has multiple clip-ons for a variety of cut-lengths. It's perfect if you want to give yourself a quick buzz-cut. Definitely worth the price. Comment 30 people found this helpful. Was this review helpful to you?

Great Clipper
By SleepyKat September 23, 2010
By SleepyKat on September 23, 2010 Verified Purchase After reading marginal reviews on other rechargeable clippers, I bought this based upon previous experiences with other Panasonic rechargeable products. I am very pleased. The clipper is easy to use, and I get about 4 cuts from a single charge. Simple design, but only a few attachments. This is ok since I am only interested in a simple crewcut. Yes, you can cut your own hair!
By L. Ingber July 6, 2012
By L. Ingber on July 6, 2012 Verified Purchase Panasonic Rechargeable Hair Clipper ER-CA35-K I got tired of getting haircuts every six weeks that didn't make me look as extraordinarily handsome as I was in my youth :). At the least, it was a pain going for regular haircuts and paying to have someone to essentially trim my head. I also wanted some control of the length of my hair -- not a buzz cut. I looked over many brands, and ultimately I picked this clipper. It enables a 1.6" cut, which is longer than most others I have researched. Also, the last few years, I have been impressed by Panasonic quality, not necessarily their prices. However, this clipper is really inexpensive. When I go the clipper, I called support to explain the charger light. This was not explained in the short user's manual. Apparently, the light comes on red when the charger is plugged in, but it just stays on. I was told to simply charge it each time for about 8 hours. This was the first time I used a clipper for my own hair. I looked at quite a few YouTube videos and got the idea of using a few layers of different sized attachments. I used three sizes, ranging from 1/2" to 1.6". I went outside on a deck with the unit, a hand mirror and a lawn blower. I used the scissors that comes with the unit to trim a few places. The process went just fine, very fine I must say. I simply used the blower to clean up my body and deck. Comment 9 people found this helpful. Was this review helpful to you?

Dual voltage, but weak motor
By Emmanuel Norris April 23, 2013
By Emmanuel Norris on April 23, 2013 Verified Purchase I was happy with my Wahl shaver but after moving overseas I needed to switch to a dual voltage shaver. After a few months of use I've been very disappointed in the motor - it is too weak to trim my beard without painfully catching hairs! Granted I grow a thick, full beard, so maybe this isn't an issue for most buyers. On the plus side, compared to the Wahl the wet/dry operation means it's nice to be able to rinse off when done. --- 10/30/2015 Update Still using this shaver, so I boosted to four stars. Still can't use it without a plastic blade or else it painfully rips out hair, but trimming on the smallest attachment (1/8") is fine. I wish there was a 1/16th attachment though.
