Verified Purchase My buddies told me about the mangroomer product so I went to buy it from amazon and noticed they just release this new version of their back shaver. I decided to go with the ultimate version - (only 10 bucks more). Received it in the mail 2 days, (cool packaging) charged it up overnight and tried it out. The unit is super solid and is easy to control. I started out with the trimmer attachment because I have not shaved my back in about 1 year - so i have some pretty decent growth. I opened it up fully as the instructions stated to get the best angle and turned it on. I started shaving on my upper shoulder blades/upper back and moved over the area a few times. No pulling or pain, no irration. They also have this turbo button that kicks the shaver into hi-gear for super hairy patches. After cleaning up my upper back, I extended the handle about half way and locked it into to place with their red locking button and continued to work my way down and around my back. I then fully extended the handle to reach a patch of hair in my lower back (you now that spot when you have an itch and can't reach :). Wow and my back was looking great!!! I then switched out the attachments to the body grooming one - it gets a much closer shaver - really close and smooth. It broke, which is why I opted to purchase the Super Mega Ultimate Hairy Man version. To be quite honest, I can not tell a single difference using it between the 2 different versions. My personal advice would be save yourself the few bucks and just get the professional version. Just make sure you keep your receipt and any pertinent info to redeem a warranty replacement! In any event, I've tired everything over the years... I've had waxing done every six weeks, I did many rounds of laser hair removal (I have tattoos so they can't get to that hair), I tried running a razor over my back every other day (painful, stings, cuts and threw out my shoulder trying to reach), I tried electric razors (no reach and burned the crap out of my skin)... Nothing was easy, nothing worked well. I bought their lower end model when it first came out. It was just ok. So, here I am stuck with no solution. I don't want to do waxing anymore as it is expensive, long and painful. I tried a "manscaper" in SF. That was a weird experience as he did back, sack and crack... I! WILL! NEVER! DO! THAT! AGAIN!!!! However, his tools were the right ones for the job so I tried to find some online. That brought me to the Mangroomer Ultimate Pro... It is the best and final solution to your back hair. Forget the regular head. The teeth are too coarse and it won't give you a fine shave. It would be great for the initial pass, especially if you look like King Kong. The best tool is the double sided fine clipper with the shaver head. You have to draw it slowly across your skin or it will pull the hair. however, the first pass cuts it down almost smooth. Then, re-angling the arm you pass back over with the "foil" part. That gets the fine stubble down to almost smooth skin. The entire process... 8 minutes.
