Great finishing shaver for people who fear the Razor after effects
By TheSheek on October 6, 2015
I mostly use it to shave my head after I have cut it down most with clippers. I have these Andis as well as the Wahl Custom shaver. The Wahl does not cut as close as the Andis and is louder. However, the Wahl does come with a pop-out edger which helps to get stubborn hairs. Edger works, but not great for extend use. The Andis is really good when the hair is short and you want a close to razor finish. Much quieter than the Wahl and the feel is way better for my hands. With the square shape, it allows for me to hold the device for much longer time periods which is important as it takes a few pass overs to get the close shave/cut I like. In honesty, I use both shavers to get the results I want. Battery on both has been good. I have not allowed mine to stay off the chargers for too long but I have travel with them and had no problems cutting my head and face with plenty of power. If I had to choose one, it would be the Andis.

I have been searching for a the perfect electric razor for some time
By carmens kindle 3 on December 16, 2015
I have been searching for a the perfect electric razor for some time. I use it for both my upper face (not the neck because I use a regular shaver for that) and my head. Saw this and thought I would give it a try. I travel a lot and use this for when I am traveling. It does a great job! While I have only owned it for a short period of time, it works perfectly for me for the desired look I want. It is not as good as the Braun I use at home but this is perfect for me for travel. My only concern is that I have only owned for a few months and only use it when I travel yet I can start to tell that the foils are already wearing and it will not be long before I have to try to replace them.

Best shaver!
By Amazon Customer on January 28, 2016
Love this shaver. My personal opinion as a professional stylist I think it works better then the wahl shaver. I've shaved at least 5 heads and still havent had to charge it and the power is very strong, does not nick clients heads or pull hairs.

Clients can tell a difference!

The andis foil shaver is by far one of the better foil shavers I have ever had. Before I would always turn to wahl for their foil shavers but for some reason my last two wahl foil shavers have completely died after a year or so! The buttons on the wahls do not turn them on, instead you have to push the button hard. With these it is a breeze! Also, it is way quieter and softer on the clients head!

Best Box Shaver on the Market
By John on January 18, 2016
I have been a barber for 12 years, owned a shop for 7. I do a lot of skin fades/skin tapers/skin blowouts/beard and face work, and used the Wahl 5 Stars for years. And I was skeptical when Andis came out with their version of a box shaver, but I gave it a shot. And unless Wahl comes up with a lithium ion battery and better cutting blade assembly, these are my every day go tos. I used to have to leave the Wahl Shaver on its charger cord constantly, I only have to plug these in for an hour halfway through a ten hour day. I used to have to change the cutting bars on the Wahls every two weeks: I change the foil once a month on these and then the whole assembly the following month. Cuts a lot faster too, so if you're using it to smooth out a transition and don't have your method down, it could cut too fast, but I love it. Andis has only won me over a few times over the years, and this is definitely one of them. Thank you for making this great product.

Tried and true design doesn't disappoint
By justin on January 17, 2016
This shaver is made in what some would call an older style, but it provides a great close cut, and shows that the electric shaver arms race never really made these tried and true designs obsolete. After searching for the highest rated across many sites, I chose these for their consistently high reviews, simplicity of design, and serviceability. They cut great and will last for a long time if well maintained. Pros: Simple, easy to clean, sturdy, portable, great battery life, can be used with cord Excellent alternate to razor shaving for those who have more sensitive skin. (If you do, make sure you're using a non-alcohol balm after-shave as well) Consideration: This is no fault of the shaver itself, but speaking of older designs, the blade cartridges in these are a combination of metal and plastic rather than being almost completely metal in the original generations of this type. One could guess that this may mean the blades will need to be changed a bit more frequently, but the jury is out on that... Will update this when they need to be switched out

unmatched precision and closeness
By The exsposer Chris on January 3, 2016
This by far is the state of the art item for electric shavers, I used to use the wahl 5 star but when I tried this I retired my wahl. I keep my mustache and goatee trimmed like a laser did it, and when I used this shaver the precision was unmatched even better than those self cleaning shavers that you have to keep buying the expensive cleaning solution refills, this item is more economical and just so much better. I only write reviews when something is really bad or really good. I recommend this item to anyone who wants the best in grooming tools.
